A Burford Wedding Ceremony
A Burford Wedding Ceremony. With its medieval bridge, old stone houses and attractive Tudor and Georgian frontages, Burford is often called the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. This fabulous location gave the perfect backdrop as a Gateway to a new life together for E & A. The soft, warm Cotswold stone worked beautifully with the natural skin tones of this happy couple. The grandeur of the location didn’t translate into a formal atmosphere – relaxed all day, the couple barely noticed the camera and allowed me to document this magical day in the natural and informal way that they wished for. Moving on to the picturesque, rustic Oxleaze Barn, the guests provided lots of photo opportunities as they enjoyed the catering and celebrated the day. Then the party really started when an outfit change for the newly married couple gave the cue to start some serious dancing! A fabulous day to share with this wonderful couple and a portfolio of great images captured for a lifetime.
As a Wedding Photographer who loves the Cotswolds, Oxleaze Barn is one of those places I love to photograph. Oxleaze Barn on the grounds of a family-run organic Cotswold farm is a beautiful Wedding venue located near the historic market town of Burford in the Cotswolds. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, situated on the Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire borders, Oxleaze Barn offers a unique and tranquil setting to celebrate your marriage. Originally a traditional 18th-century Cotswold stone barn, in more recent times, Oxleaze Barn has been carefully restored and converted into a rustic and spacious wedding venue whilst retaining its original charm and character. The barn boasts a vaulted ceiling with a stunning oak-beamed interior and exposed stonework. A grand entrance floods the space with natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere that makes this venue such a joy to photograph.
Oxleaze Barn has an abundance of photography opportunities, the Barn has great outdoor space starting with the landscaped courtyard. Large, secluded and completely private, it’s a great space to enjoy reception drinks with friends, take in the surroundings or on those cooler evenings just for snuggling around the firepit.
The courtyard is the perfect spot for larger group photography, with the Stone Barn making a perfect feature wall and backdrop. Oxleaze Barn has more photographic farmyard character to offer. Situated on a working organic farm, there is an abundance of opportunities to capture beautiful couple shots amongst the rustic buildings or the Willow tree-lined duck pond, the meadows, and the surrounding Cotswold countryside. Additionally, the Farmhouse at Oxleaze Barn has wonderfully maintained and mature private gardens that can be hired as an idyllic backdrop for those more formal couple shots, the moments where the couple are whisked away from the crowds to capture the photographs to share with generations to come.
