The Perfect Autumnal Venue
With delays due to the new modern world, the 1st of October could not come around soon enough for K & R. This autumnal Friday was to be a glorious day to be married. The sun was out, the skies were blue, all in lovely surroundings, a contemporary barn on the outskirts of Newbury. The Post Barn wedding Venue on the grounds of Snelsmore House was the perfect backdrop, with its large terrace and private gardens.
It was the ideal setting to celebrate with friends and family as the sunset over the horizon.
For K, her mum, and the bridesmaids, the day started in a relaxed easy fashion over at Snelsmore House. No concerns about timing, the house was all of 100 yards from the Barn, and the journey by golf cart was all of 30 seconds!
Family and friends waited patiently for K to arrive, she looked amazing in her wedding dress as R looked on with anticipation. The Grooms dress code for the day, a pallet of autumnal colours, matching the time of year perfectly. Speeches followed the ceremony, then everyone was ushered out onto the terrace for a celebratory drink. K & R had a rare moment alone in the bar to reflect on the last 30 minutes before joining the awaiting guests.
Formalities completed, the barn was transformed from a seated ceremony into a spacious dining area. Beautifully decorated, each table displayed photos of K & R from their worldly travels, all in hand-made bespoke stands. The autumnal theme continues seamlessly across the tables completing the display.
Lots of love and laughter, speeches, and toasts before settling in for some dining. Once finished, everyone was again ushered out towards the bar, whilst the final hall transformation took place, clearing room for the dance floor and the DJ as the sun started to set.
It was not long until the first dance, and then the party began. The evening guests started to trickle in, which saw a steady flow of people congregating around the dance floor and the rather cool-looking bar.
It was a pleasure to be part of the big day for K&R. Their families were so welcoming, making the day a joy to be around, all felt so positive and great fun. I’m also sure it was a massive relief to finally be married given what’s been going on over the last 18 months!
